The Role
This role is to assist our Senior Litigation Solicitor, Makayla Phillips with her caseload which is varied and to conduct Landlord & Tenant and Debt Recovery caseload under supervision.
Whist training will be provided for general civil litigation matters, you need to have sufficient experience in possession proceedings and debt recovery to conduct both caseloads yourself with minimal supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who feels stuck where they are, pigeonholed into one area of civil litigation and has the desire to expand on their experience or someone who needs to have the support to qualify as a solicitor.
You should have a passion to provide the most excellent in client care and the desire to progress.
The Candidate
- 2+ years' experience in General Litigation and Dispute Resolution is required
- Experience in assisting with matters on behalf of commercial and individual clients on a wide range of litigation matters to include, contested probate, landlord and tenant, breach of contract claims, debt recovery, property disputes, and commercial litigation
- Ability to have conduct of possession and debt recovery proceedings with minimal supervision
- Experience in LEAP case management system preferred
- Able to work autonomously on tasks set
- Track of record of achieving career goals
- Enthusiasm to engage in networking and business development;
- Clear demonstrable ability and keenness to build and maintain client and referrer relationships;
- Self-motivated team player
- Ambition to progress
- Excellent administration and organisational skills;
- Professional but friendly and approachable
- Fairly local and able to commute to Romford daily (please do not apply if outside of 30-mile radius)
