Role: Client Accountant (Full-Time)
Location: WFH, with one weekly in-person meeting based in Hatfield
As our new Client Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our client relationships, delivering top-notch service and clear, effective financial solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Finalise accounts and corporation tax returns like a pro.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
- Lead quarterly strategy sessions and keep our clients on track.
- Review annual salaries and dividends.
- Break down complex accounting issues in simple terms for our clients.
- Finalise VAT and self-assessment returns with accuracy.
- Welcome new clients and explain tax rules & options.
- Provide proactive tax planning and discuss higher rate projections.
- Manage FreeAgent & xero queries and new client transfers.
- Explore additional add-ons and services to help clients grow their businesses.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience managing your own client portfolio.
- Part-Qualified, Qualified, or QBE (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW).
- Deep knowledge of VAT, personal tax, corporation tax, and limited company accounts.
- Outstanding communication skills with a knack for making the complex simple.
- Experience with tech and CRM systems.
- 3 years Xero experience is a must-have! FreeAgent and TaxCalc knowledge is a bonus.
- Keen attention to detail, superb time management skills, and experience in training junior staff.
- Someone eager to explore additional add-ons and services to provide more value to clients.
- A self-starter who takes the initiative and drives things forward without waiting to be asked.
