ABOUT BLOSSOM GROUP
Blossom Group ASA CIC is a community interest company rooted in East London, standing with people who are too often overlooked, unheard, or pushed aside. We operate a whole-person model — combining health, culture, storytelling, advocacy, and belonging — across more than 90 languages. Our programmes include the Togetherness Café, Walk and Talk, Yoga 4 All, the Community Box, Dil Sey Dil Takk bereavement support, community radio, and much more.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a passionate, creative community voice — someone who lives and breathes the neighbourhoods we serve — to amplify Blossom's mission across social media platforms in the languages of our communities. This is not a traditional influencer role. It is purposeful, justice-led, and rooted in real human stories. You will help us reach the people who need us most, in the language and culture they recognise.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create authentic, culturally sensitive short-form content (reels, posts, stories, videos) in one or more community languages covering health, wellbeing, rights, and social justice themes.
- Translate key Blossom messages — on diabetes prevention, mental health, housing rights, bereavement, and more — into formats your community actually trusts and shares.
- Amplify real community stories from our Bazaar of the Story Tellers (Khissa Kahaani Bazaar), Dil Sey Dil Takk, and Hero's Journey programmes.
- Grow Blossom's presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp with consistent, values-led content.
- Collaborate with our community radio partnership and team members to highlight lived experiences.
- Challenge misinformation and health inequity narratives with accurate, accessible, empowering content.
- Generate creative ideas and innovations that bring new audiences to Blossom's services and ethos.
- Report on reach, engagement, and community feedback to help Blossom grow its impact.
COMMUNITY LANGUAGES WE ARE ESPECIALLY SEEKING
We particularly welcome speakers of the following — but all community languages are valued:
Punjabi
Urdu
Bengali / Sylheti
Hindi
Gujarati
Somali
Arabic
Turkish
Romanian
Polish
Farsi / Dari
Other — very welcome!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A trusted voice within your community — someone people already listen to and respect.
- Fluent in English plus at least one community language spoken in East London.
- Passionate about health equity, social justice, mental health, and reducing health disparities in diverse communities.
- Creative and comfortable making short video, audio, or written content — formal training is not required.
- Digitally confident across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and/or WhatsApp.
- Reliable, ethical, and sensitive to the complex lived experiences of marginalised communities.
- Full of ideas — we want innovators who will challenge the status quo and try new things.
- Lived experience of the communities Blossom serves is a genuine asset and warmly welcomed.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Meaningful, purpose-driven work with a community that genuinely changes lives.
- Flexibility to create content in your own style, in your own language, on your own schedule.
- Creative freedom — bring your ideas, your culture, your voice.
- Access to Blossom's wider network of 100+ volunteers, community leaders, storytellers, and health professionals.
- Opportunity to grow your skills, platform, and portfolio while doing genuine good.
- Remuneration discussed at interview (volunteer, stipend, and paid options depending on funding).
OUR VALUES — WHAT YOU WILL UPHOLD
- Dignity first — every person we reach deserves respect, care, and compassion.
- Cultural humility — no one is hard to reach; we adapt, listen, and learn.
- Justice, not charity — we advocate for rights, equity, and systemic change.
- Authenticity — real stories, real people, real change.
- Innovation — new ideas are the engine of progress; we welcome bold thinking.
HOW TO APPLY
Send a short voice note or message on WhatsApp (07786 478961) in any language, telling us who you are, what community you are part of, and why you want this role. Or email us at [email protected]. No formal CV is required — just be yourself.
We particularly welcome applications from people of colour, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, disabled people, and those with lived experience of poverty, migration, or health inequality.
