About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Stone Sawyer / CNC & Operator to join our production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing company specialising in high-end stone fabrication for both residential and commercial projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming stone processing machinery, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and programme CNC and Waterjet machinery.
- Operate bridge saws and other stone fabrication equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting schedules.
- Process natural stone, composite stone and mosaic products to specification.
- Carry out visual and dimensional quality inspections.
- Identify and report defective materials.
- Maintain machinery, tools and equipment in good working order.
- Ensure a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the production team.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Stone Sawyer, CNC Operator, or similar role.
- Technical qualification in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC and Waterjet machinery.
- Experience using hand-held power tools and stone fabrication equipment.
- Strong knowledge of marble, granite, quartzite, onyx and engineered stone materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
