The Role:
The primary role of this job is to provide support to the Studio Producer. The secondary role is to provide support Studio Producer and the studio team as required
Reporting into the Studio Producer, you will be assisting in sourcing, casting and keeping our model pool up to date with the best talent. You will also be assisting with production tasks such as receipting and morning check ins. This role is for someone that is flexible with a can do attitude. It would suit someone that likes to be busy as there will always be something to do in this role.
You are going to need to have good admin skills as well as be comfortable running casting days and ideally have experience in previously doing so.
Please note this role is fully based in the studio 5 days a week due to the nature of the role.

What you’ll be doing:
The main focus of this role is to support the Senior Casting Manager with all aspects of model casting and model booking. The model booking department is responsible for sourcing and securing an amazing roster of models to use across the company, This includes models for all NL ecom product shoots, campaigns and creative content shoots. Their goal is to build a strong visual identity for the brand – and do so in the most efficient way possible.
The role sits within the wider studio team, where we have a truly ‘one-team’ approach, so the role would also involve additional production admin and general studio organization. This role is for someone that is flexible with a can do attitude. You are going to need to have excellent, accurate admin skills, as well as be comfortable on a busy photo studio set, and dealing with models and casting agents on a daily basis. A keen interest or previous experience in the world of casting is preferable.
This role is supporting the Senior Casting Manager, Shoot Producer & the Studio Production team to ensure the seamless running of all day-to-day model booking, casting and shoots for the business including:
Areas linked with senior casting manager
- Optioning and confirming models for e-commerce bookings
- Ensure all model rates are recorded and communicated correctly. Accuracy and consistency in bookings is key in this role
- Calendar management for upcoming creative & campaign shoots
- Taking ownership on certain casting areas with guidance from Senior Casting Manager and Producer
- Stepping in to cover Senior Casting Manager during annual leave alongside Producer
- Support Senior Casting Manager and Producer on 915 (teen) castings – taking ownership of the process involved including licensing and regular check-ins with the models/agents
- Reviewing other high street brands to see what models they are using – and suggesting them for us where appropriate without needing prompts – Always working one step ahead to bring in the best and new talent
- Follow models and brands on Instagram – always bringing ideas to the table for discussion
- Building and maintaining a strong ‘behind-the-scenes’ filing and organizational system for the casting team - including updating model family docs, seasonal casting docs, and booking calendars
Areas linked with studio producer
- Liaising daily with external model agents in a professional manner and building strong relationships (alongside Casting Manager and Producer)
- Confidently arranging & holding castings with models at our in-house studios
- Cover Producer admin when on annual leave
- Support with Production such as ordering deliveries, unpacking, studio tidy
- Support with studio ops - sample deliveries, rail returns, etc.
- Support with STL as and when required e.g., sickness / peak periods
- Managing PO payments to ensure these are paid on time and logged accurately
- Keeping track of model/agency expenses such as travel, hotel, food (when relevant)
- Supporting Senior Managers by creating studio presentation decks
Overall role duties
- Checking in & welcoming models daily, ensuring they have everything they need whilst they are on the shoot – and being a key point of contact for them whilst in the building
- Adhoc Morning studio support when required - Steaming on set in morning, general studio support set ups and runner activities such as organizing model snacks/lunches, last minute purchases for shoots
- End of day studio support - putting styling away, photography pack down and general tidy
- Working closely with our in-house studio team to become a key, reliable team member
Who you are:
- Passion for models
- Previous experience within casting or a studio environment preferred
- Creative experience of putting deck and presentations together
- Numerical and written accuracy
