Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work within a professional environment. The role involves supporting qualified electricians while developing essential skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the electrical trade. All positions are paid, ensuring that your efforts are recognised from the outset.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
Support in reading technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to aid in electrical tasks.
Help with the organisation and preparation of work sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
Carry out routine inspections of electrical components to identify potential issues or hazards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Learn to troubleshoot basic electrical problems and assist in resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work is advantageous.
Prior electrical experience or relevant coursework is preferred but not essential; a keen interest in learning the trade is required.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to follow instructions carefully.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training programmes.
Ability to work safely around electrical systems and adhere to health & safety guidelines.
