About The Role:

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification in electrical installation, maintenance and repair. You will work alongside qualified electricians to develop the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings
Support qualified electricians on-site and follow instructions carefully
Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical diagrams
Help with inspection and testing of electrical systems
Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly
Follow health & safety regulations at all times
Keep work areas clean and organised

Training & Development

Attend college or training provider as required (e.g. working towards Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification)
Gain practical on-the-job experience
Work towards industry-recognised certifications such as SVQ Level 3 / SCQF level 7

Requirements

A genuine interest in electrical work and engineering
Good school level of education ideally including Maths and English
Good practical skills and willingness to learn
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Basic understanding of health & safety practices (preferred but not essential)

Desirable Skills

Problem-solving ability
Good communication skills
Basic IT skills
Previous experience in construction or manual work (advantageous but not required)
