Fire and Security Engineer

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per yearJob

Description: Applicants without two years’ experience within fire and security will not be considered.Fire & Security Engineer – £35,000–£45,000 (Depending on Experience) Full-time | 40 hours per week | Call-out rota (approx. 1 in 6 weeks)

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience across a range of systems including fire alarms, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. You will be expected to work independently to industry standards, including SSAIB and BAFE.Key Responsibilities

Install and maintain fire and security systems in line with BAFE and SSAIB regulations.
Commission systems and complete customer handovers professionally.
Diagnose and repair faults across various systems.
Accurately complete electronic reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (approximately once every six weeks) to support our 24/7 service commitment.
Collaborate with team members, sharing technical knowledge and maintaining positive working relationships.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire and security systems.
In-depth knowledge of:
BS5839:1 (Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems)
BS5266:1 (Emergency Lighting)
BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
Experience with BAFE SP203-1 and SSAIB standards is essential.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Proficient with IT systems and reporting software.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, ambitious, and solutions-focused.
Full UK driving licence required.
Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
