Actual Salary Range: £29,879 - £31,928 (Pro Rata)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Term, Term Time Only + 2 Weeks
Contract Hours: 37 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

About the role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to lead and coordinate all administrative and operational functions within our busy and vibrant school.
This is a key role at the heart of the school, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while supporting staff, pupils, and the wider school community. You will bring strong leadership skills, excellent organisational ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality administrative services.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the school office and administrative services

Oversee admissions processes and maintain accurate pupil records

Manage financial procedures, monitoring budgets and school funds
-
Support payroll processes including overtime and absence tracking

Line manage and develop a small team of administrative staff

Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety policies

Organise school events, trips, and key meetings

Maintain both manual and digital information systems

Support audit processes and contribute to policy development
What We’re Looking ForEssential Qualifications & Experience

Good general education (minimum 5 GCSEs including English and Maths)
-
NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
-
Experience working in a school environment
-
Proven experience managing administrative staff

Strong knowledge of financial and HR systems and processes

Understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements
Key Skills & Attributes-
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office

About the School
Gloucestershire Academy for Inspirational Learning is a specialist school for 200 pupils aged 4-16 opening at the start of 2027, with pupils phasing into the school across three years.
The school’s designation is Moderate and Additional Learning Difficulties (MALD) and will cater for autistic pupils, those with speech and language differences, SEMH and those with learning differences in their cognitive profiles.
The school will be based in the Wheatridge area of Gloucestershire in a brand-new purpose-built building with outstanding facilities specifically tailored for SEND learners.
