Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in September.

The successful candidate will support learners aged 16–19 providing tailored assistance to help them engage, progress, and achieve their full potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference within a supportive and inclusive college environment.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in implementing individualised education programmes for students
Provide one-to-one or small group support to enhance learning outcomes
Aid in the development of communication skills through personalised strategies
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement
Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and specific needs to inform ongoing support strategies
Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external specialists to ensure consistent support for each child's development

Experience

Prior experience working with children in educational or care settings
Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is advantageous
Knowledge of special education practices and behavioural management techniques is preferred
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Enhanced DBS check

This role provides an opportunity for passionate individuals committed to supporting children's learning needs within a dynamic educational environment.

Pay: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
