Job description:
We are looking for Security Guard or Door Supervisor SIA licenced staff to work as Security Officers in Taunton. The role will include night shifts and daytime weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain security and prevent unauthorised access
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises, identify any safety hazards or violations and report them to management.
- Provide assistance to all customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and polite manner
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities
Requirements:
- Valid SIA licence - Security Guard or Door Supervisor will be accepted
- Valid Driving licence and access to your own vehicle is not essential but is preferred
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or similar role - At least one year is preferred.
- Basic Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Knowledge of first aid techniques and emergency procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
