Dispensing Optician or Optical Assistant
Barrow Upon Soar, LE12 8PY
Salary up to £31k for Dispensing Optician or £26,748.80 per annum which increases to £27,684.80 FTE per annum after our CEA course

Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists have now rebranded our Optical Assistant job titles so you will be joining our fabulous team as a Client Experience Advisor based in our Barrow Upon Soar practice (LE12 8PY) or a Dispensing Optician.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for an experienced Dispensing Optician or Client Experience Advisor for 5 days / 40 hours per week (covering our rota week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday and week 2: Monday to Friday; 9am - 5:30pm).

We aim to deliver obsessively great service to each and every one of our clients via our Welcome, Discover, Delight client journey which is at the core of what we do. We have the latest diagnostic equipment, the latest technological advances in contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames, and the latest fashions.

At Bayfields, we are passionate about the services we provide our clients so as our experienced Dispensing Optician or Client Experience Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for anyone visiting or contacting your practice. We want you to greet our clients in person as they arrive, or over the phone with a smile to make them feel valued and you will listen and understand their needs before taking ownership of their query. You will work closely with your Practice Manager, Optometrists, Audiologists and team members to determine the best solutions for our clients and focus on our Welcome, Discover, Delight Bayfields client journey. We need an experienced Dispensing Optician or Client Experience Advisor with experience of dispensing single focus lenses, multi-focal lenses and contact lenses. We would like somebody with strong IT skills and excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to build strong relationships with your team members, peers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service.
Assist customers in selecting suitable frames, lenses, and other optical products.
Experience of dispensing single focus lenses, multi-focal lenses and contact lenses.
Schedule appointments and manage bookings.
Maintain product displays and ensure the store is tidy and presentable.
Handle administrative tasks, including processing payments and orders.

Previous experience in optical retail.
