Role: Vehicle Recovery Driver / Roadside Technician
£14.20 per hour basic, enhanced rate for overtime
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off
Location: Crooklands LA7
Furness Cars and Commercials Limited are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Recovery Driver / Roadside Technician. As a Vehicle Recovery Driver / Roadside Technician, you will be working in a fast paced environment, facilitating the rescue and recovery of our customer vehicles at the roadside in the South Lakes and Furness Peninsula.
Responsibilities
- Operate recovery vehicles to assist stranded motorists, ensuring safe transport of vehicles.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and providing updates on recovery status.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle recovery and delivery activities.
- Assist with keeping vehicles and sites clean and tidy
- Adhere to all safety regulations and licensing requirements, including holding a valid Category CE or C Licence.

What do we require from you:
- Full valid driving license with Cat C (Class 2) or Cat C+E (Class 1) (training scheme available for the right candidate to gain these)
- Current Driver CPC
- Ability to pass Local Police Vetting
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- To confidently use a mobile phone / PDA device.
- Excellent customer service skills as you will be dealing with customers in difficult circumstances.
- Flexible approach to working hours, role and working environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
