Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Expert to lead and execute Pewag Internationals global social media strategy (our parent company). This role combines strategic planning with hands-on content creation, best practice guidance, and marketing automation.
You will define how our brand shows up across social platforms worldwide, create scalable content systems, support internal teams, and ensure consistent, high-quality social media execution across regions and segments.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in social media strategy and execution at a global or multi-market level
- Strong content creation skills (copywriting, video, storytelling)
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends
- Experience creating playbooks, rule books, or governance frameworks
- Hands-on experience with social media management and automation tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Advantageous Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Marketo, Sprout, Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Knowledge of paid social and performance marketing
- Experience in B2B, B2C, or complex organisational environments
- Basic design, video editing, or motion skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
Best Practice & Governance
- Establish and document social media best practice recommendations for all regions and segments
- Write and maintain a Social Media Rule Book, including:
- Tone of voice and brand guidelines
- Visual and creative standards
- Posting frequency and formats
- Community management and engagement guidelines
- Legal, compliance, and crisis management rules
- Act as the centre of excellence for social media expertise
Content Creation & Planning
- Plan and manage social media content calendars across platforms and markets
- Create engaging content, including:
- Copywriting for posts and captions
- Short-form and long-form video content
- Creative formats, gimmicks, trends, and campaigns
- Adapt global content for local markets while ensuring brand consistency
- Work with designers, videographers, and external agencies as needed
Resource Library & Enablement
- Build and maintain a social media resource library of ready-to-use content, including:
- Pre-written posts and captions
- Visual and video templates
- Campaign toolkits
- Evergreen and reactive content assets
- Liaise closely with internal segments, regions, and teams to support their social media needs
- Enable local teams with guidance, tools, and training
Marketing Automation & Tools
- Implement and manage social media and marketing automation tools
- Set up workflows for scheduling, publishing, approval, and reporting
- Support campaign automation, lead nurturing, and retargeting initiatives
- Ensure efficient, scalable social media operations
Role Specifics:
Location: Office Based - Poole.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:30. Friday 08:30 to 16:00 (total of 40 hours per week).
Holiday: 20 days pro-rata plus the Christmas Shutdown period and UK Bank Holidays.
