Job Purpose
The Dental Clinic Delivery Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all UK Charity Clinics. Overseeing all activity across Operations, scheduling, and Volunteer Management.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of clinics, you will need to be highly organised, operationally, and financially aware and expected to build effective working relationships within the organisation and with external partners, contractors and funders to meet the demands of ongoing and future clinics.
Job Background
We are a dental charity providing dental care to vulnerable people around the UK. We deliver this care using mobile dental clinics and due to significant growth we need someone to manage the end-to-end delivery of these clinics, following the process through from working closely with the Fundraising Team to agree Partners & Venues, to securing volunteer clinicians, ensuring clinics go ahead as planned with minimal disruption.
This role requires close stakeholder management and excellent working relationships across the whole operation, including but not limited to, Fundraising, Fleet Manager, Clinical Team and Volunteer Management Team. Overseeing the onboarding and management of partners, venues and volunteers as well as the scheduling and logistical deployment of our Mobile Dental Units (MDUs).
The role will be required to oversee the deployment of our vehicles in a cost-effective manner. Managing vehicle movements ensuring appropriate 'off clinic' time is built in for vehicle checks and maintenance working with the Fleet Supervisor. Building relationships with existing contacts and developing new relationships with new sites and ensuring the successful delivery of the clinics.
The role will also be required to oversee all aspects in the recruitment & tracking of volunteers coming into Dentaid The Dental Charity via multiple channels. Ensuring strong working relationships are built with volunteers across the UK, helping to ensure the successful delivery of all clinics & sessions on the dates agreed, with no cancellations due to gaps in the planning.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Collaboration - Liaise with other departments & key stakeholders to ensure the smooth scheduling and delivery of clinics
- Oversee the recruitment & onboarding of volunteers
- Oversee the volunteering process to ensure no one gets left behind and volunteers are utilitised to their maximum
Volunteer Strategy & Planning
- Ensure that we have volunteers on our projects
- Forecast and assess volunteer needs across departments and projects working closely with the Fundraising Team and others
- Working with the marketing team to collaboratively promote new volunteering opportunities particularly in areas where Dentaid hasn’t worked before
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Ensure team maintain accurate, up to date, records, using appropriate management systems
- Report on UK Charity Clinic delivery including Volunteer Management
- Draft reports for the Senior Management Team to ensure they are aware of progress, risks and any challenges associated with Operations
- Ensure Root Cause Analysis of issues
- Provide Reporting & insights as appropriate
People Management
- Provide line management support to any staff, volunteers or apprentices as needed, seeking opportunities to develop flexible workforces that support project management and implementation
- Coaching and development of team members

- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality protocols are followed

Pay: £35,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
