Full job description

The role

Sankey Valley St James Primary School are seeking an experienced, qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with the Early Years curriculum to work in our Reception Class. This vacancy is fixed term, and the working hours are as follows; 35 hours per week term time only, 39 weeks (38 weeks plus 1 week INSET) - 08:30 until 16:00.

The Governors wish to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant who is:

An excellent practitioner with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
Highly motivated, adaptable and able to make a positive contribution to our school
Able to support the school’s Christian ethos

Main purpose

To support the teacher in the delivery of the Early Years Curriculum to our Reception Class pupils. Working in partnership with parents/carers, teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make excellent progress.
