Position Overview:
We are seeking a Motorcycle Buyer to join our dynamic team at CMC Motorcycles. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of motorcycle trends. This role also requires exceptional interpersonal skills, proficiency in PC software, and the ability to purchase over 350 bikes annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate the purchase of motorcycles from various suppliers and individuals.
- Conduct thorough assessments of motorcycles, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and pricing dynamics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, dealers, and individual sellers.
- Utilize PC skills to manage inventory, track purchases, and analyze market data.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless integration of purchased motorcycles into the dealership inventory.
Requirements:
- Experience in motorcycle buying or a related field would be helpful.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful deals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC software, including inventory management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- In-depth knowledge of motorcycle trends, brands, and models.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet purchasing targets consistently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for purchasing purposes.
