THE ROLE: Business Intelligence Analyst
LOCATION: Grimsby
SALARY: £30,000-£35,000 + benefits.
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, with hybrid working options available after probation.

The Role
Working within the Finance and Accounting Department, a Business Intelligence Analyst will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is tasked with extracting and analysing business data in order to drive change, support company performance, and monitor metrics for stakeholder concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Manage funding flows from accounts, track customer accounts, monitor thresholds.
Provide details & insightful solutions to drive performance & support key decisions to the company.
Develop and maintain dashboards (often in tools like Power BI).
Responsible for own projects to ensure both KPI and business strategies are met.
Extracting, manipulating and analysing data on the performance and expectations of the portfolio.
Assist in developing a synegy between the business operations, IT Systems and any data held within the business on whatever platform.
Provide & analyse insightful MI for ongoing requests from the Chief Finance Officer.
Produce accurate and up to date reports meeting strict deadlines.
Analyze large datasets to derive insights.
Data extraction for daily, monthly, weekly and quarterly reports.
Database mining software for business solutions.
Other tasks as required
Key Skills and Attributes
The Business Intelligence Analyst should demonstrate the following key skills and attributes in order to succeed in the management of the responsibilites outlined above.
The ability to:
Analyse and interpret data, showing a logical approach to problem solving.
Learn and use specific software platforms for the role, plus an excellent knowledge of Excel, Advanced functions, PivotTables, Macros.
Be forward thinking and pro-active, seeking solutions to potential issues as they arise.
Be diligent and have a high level of attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with people at all levels within the department and company.
Maintain a good knowledge of relevant company practices and policies, and know where to access this information.
Produce detailed and factual information to be used to guide future decision making and planning.
Be self-motivated and reactive to any task which present itself and able to prioritise workload.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience using artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity, support decision-making, and streamline workflows.
Be knowledgeable about current AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible-use practices, with the ability to identify opportunities for applying AI effectively in their role.
