Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all sterile equipment, supplies, and instruments are ready for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies promptly and accurately
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate assistance as needed during surgery
- Support patient care before, during, and after surgery by helping with positioning, comfort measures, and post-operative instructions
- Document all surgical activities accurately in patient records and assist with inventory management of surgical supplies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to surgical procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to support patients’ needs before and after surgery
- Proficiency in medication administration with attention to safety protocols and proper documentation
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in high-pressure situations
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage sterile environments and surgical instruments
- Good communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
