Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station, adhering to food safety standards
- Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food handling procedures
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring all items are stored correctly
- Participate in cleaning schedules, including sanitising surfaces and equipment at the end of shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes
