Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding areas.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for other kitchen staff as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment and food items.
- Help maintain inventory levels of frying supplies and report any shortages to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in meal preparation or as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, particularly related to frying methods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
