Business Development & Growth Manager
Warrington | 2-3 Days Per Week | Flexible Hours
We're looking for somebody to help drive the next stage of growth at Bespoke Spaces.
This role includes marketing, but it is not primarily a marketing role.
We're looking for somebody who can help us attract more of the right projects, build meaningful relationships and help establish Bespoke Spaces as one of the most sought-after bespoke interiors companies in Cheshire and the North West.
Why This Role Exists
We've built a strong reputation delivering high-end bespoke interiors across Cheshire, the North West and London.
We're proud of the work we produce, but we know there is an opportunity to do more closer to home.
We want to attract more high-value projects in Cheshire and the surrounding areas, strengthen relationships with architects, designers and builders, improve referral opportunities and continue building a business known for exceptional work and exceptional people.
That's where you come in.
The Role
This role combines business development, relationship building, marketing and strategic thinking.
You'll work closely with the business owner and spend time in our workshop, with our team and around our projects.
We want somebody who genuinely understands what makes Bespoke Spaces different and can communicate that confidently and authentically.
You'll help us identify opportunities, build relationships, improve our positioning and attract more of the right type of work.
You won't have a team reporting to you.
You'll need to be comfortable rolling your sleeves up and making things happen yourself.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building relationships with architects, interior designers and high-end builders
- Developing referral opportunities
- Identifying strategic partnerships
- Helping shape our marketing direction
- Working alongside our existing marketing support
- Developing project case studies and client stories
- Improving the quality of enquiries we receive
- Attending meetings, events and networking opportunities
- Supporting development of new opportunities and revenue streams
- Helping shape the future direction of the business
What We're Looking For
This role is all about people.
We're looking for somebody who builds trust naturally.
Somebody who listens more than they talk.
Somebody who enjoys understanding people, spotting opportunities and making connections.
You don't need a background in joinery, but you do need the curiosity and commitment to learn enough about our industry to represent us confidently and credibly.
Most importantly, we're looking for somebody who genuinely cares about helping build something special.
Essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong relationship-building ability
- Commercial awareness
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Business development experience
- Marketing experience
- Experience working with architects, designers or builders
- Experience helping grow a business or brand
- Experience in construction, property, interiors or other premium sectors
The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here
We're not looking for a stereotypical salesperson.
We're not looking for somebody who wants to be the centre of attention.
We're looking for somebody with quiet confidence.
The sort of person who is comfortable talking to architects, designers, builders and homeowners because they understand what they're talking about and genuinely care about helping people.
The sort of person who enjoys building long-term relationships rather than chasing quick wins.
The sort of person who gets satisfaction from helping a business grow and seeing the impact of their efforts.
If you're motivated by ego, titles or being the loudest person in the room, this probably isn't the role for you.
If you're motivated by building relationships, creating opportunities and helping shape the future of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
