Full job description

An effective member of the Directorate of Radiology by providing a high
standard of radiographic service and patient care. There is a requirement to
participate in a flexible working hours system and an on-call system.

Performance of clinical radiographic duties as delegated by the
Superintendent Radiographer in each section

To participate in departmental planned out of hours working and the
radiographic on-call rota

To practice within the rules of the Health Professions Council

Assist in training of student radiographers and assistant practitioners

Ensure radiation doses to every patient are as low as reasonably
achievable (ALARA) consistent with a diagnostic result

To comply with IR(ME)R 2000 & IRR’99

Participate in the radiographic rotation

To maintain accurate documentation pertinent to the examination

To work to radiographic protocols and policies as required under the
ionising radiation regulations
