Full job description

We are looking for a fully qualified butcher to join the team in our modern butchers shop.

We make a large amount of kitchen ready products, that we take pride in displaying, take a look at our Instagram feed @Callaghans_butchers. We still traditionally butcher whole lambs and seam beef primals, so no heavy beef carcase lifting.

We would consider a 4 day week (36 hours), as long as you are willing to work extra during staff holidays and Christmas.

Duties include, butchering fresh meat, making products, filling counters, serving customers, stock rotation and some cleaning.

The ideal candidate will be able to wield a knife like Zoro in a bad mood, be able to make a variety of meat products and have some formal hygiene training. We would be willing to offer some training, but knife skills are essential.

We work Monday to Friday 7.30-5.00, Saturday 7.30-4.00, closed Sunday and one day off in the week.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £600.00-£630.00 per week
