Warehouse Assistant / Trainee Printer

Leading Edge Labels is a well-established and growing print and packaging company based in Gravesend, Kent. We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our production team as a Warehouse Assistant / Trainee Printer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career within the printing industry. No previous experience is required – full training will be provided, with the potential to develop into one of our printers of the future.

Key Responsibilities
As part of our production team, your duties will include:
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
- Supplying materials to the printing presses
- Ensuring inks, solvents, and consumables are readily available
- Preparing, laying, and cleaning printing plates
- Assisting with press set-up and changeovers
- Cleaning ink units and preparing them for the next production run
- Supporting printers and production staff as required
About the Role
This position involves manual handling and general warehouse duties, so applicants should be physically fit and comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone looking to develop new skills and build a career within print production.
Hours of Work
- 40 hours per week basic contract
- Shift pattern:
- 2 weeks on days (Monday to Friday)
- 2 weeks on nights (Monday to Thursday)
- Depending on workload, shifts may range from 8 to 12 hours
Salary & Benefits
- £26,436.80 per annum
- Overtime available
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 50 hours per week
- 5% monthly bonus following successful completion of a 3-month probation period
