Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Purpose of the Role

To oversee and manage a team of electricians on a number of programmes of work to be completed across the South East region.

The Role

This is a permanent job role.

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.

You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.

Company van provided, with fuel card issued.

To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards
Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans
To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices
Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
Promote positive health and well-being amongst their peer
To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.

Requirements

ECS gold card (essential)
SSSTS / SMSTS (essential)
Experience as an Electrical Supervisor, site managing electrical projects.
Experience within water / heavy industrial industries
Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
Fit to work medical (can be completed upon starting employment).

Desirable

PASMA / IPAF
Confined space
COMPEX
EUSR water hygiene
Thames water passport
Inspection and testing certification.
