Job Title: Optical Assistant (Part-Time) Location: Upminster Salary: £22,000 to £24,000 pro rata Working Hours: minimum 2 days per week (Part-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time role, and the advertised salary represents the full-time equivalent (FTE). Your actual salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, reflecting the number of days or hours.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Optical Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to customers, assist with frame selections, and ensure a seamless shopping experience in our optical store. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, understand their needs, and provide tailored advice on frame styles and lens options.
- Sales Support: Assist customers in selecting suitable eyewear, promoting our products, and closing sales effectively.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest eyewear trends, lens technologies, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers.
- Administrative Tasks: Process orders, manage payments, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in optical retail, sales, or a customer service role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive attitude with a passion for helping people.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and provide holiday cover.
- Willingness to learn about optical products and services which will include completing Nikon New to Optics online training and performing pre assessments including OCT scans and Visual field tests.
- Administration and organisation tasks completed in a timely manner.
- Ability to work alone and manage own workload as well as working effectively as part of the team.
- Official key holder
- Ability to open and close practice unsupervised if required.
