The Bereavement Services Team at St Helens Borough Council run two operational Cemeteries and a Crematorium. Our Operational Team of 3 Cemetery Operatives, 2 Crematorium Operatives and 2 Crematorium technicians support the team in providing all burial and cremation services. The Cemetery at St Helens won Gold in the Cemetery of the Year awards, along with an APSE finalist for the best Service Team for the past two years.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a desire to work within the Operational team in providing excellent Bereavement Services. The successful applicant will work as part of The Bereavement Services and Grounds Maintenance Team in providing a safe, peaceful, and pleasant environment for the bereaved and visitors. Experience of manual work and a good knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices is necessary, along with good frontline skills. Experience of driving a J C B Excavator is essential for this role.
