Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior experience in an administrative capacity.

This is a paid position offering an excellent opportunity to develop organisational and clerical skills within a professional environment. Students are encouraged to apply, particularly those pursuing an MSc in Data Science, Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate data entry across various platforms, including Microsoft Office.
Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately.
Organise and schedule appointments, meetings, and events efficiently.
Prepare and process documents, reports, and correspondence with attention to detail.
Assist with online platforms and digital administrative tasks.
Support the team with general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
Collaborate with team members to improve administrative processes and workflows.
Maintain accurate records and ensure information is updated and organised.

Skills & Requirements

Previous office or administrative experience preferred.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive).
Experience with data entry and clerical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

Current student or recent graduate pursuing an MSc in Data Science, Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Interest in technology, data management, and digital systems.
Familiarity with online platforms and cloud-based applications.
