Full job description

TQ Law based in Leigh are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant in a busy residential property department. Applicants must be educated to at least A-level standard or equivalent. Legal experience would be preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Job Description

Position: Junior Legal Assistant

Team: Resi Team

Reports To: Team Leader

Location: 54 Church Street, Leigh, WN7 1AZ

Overall Objective

Responsible for providing support to the Team whist progressing transaction through to completion.

Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare contract out to Buyers Conveyancer

2. Compose and send contract report to client.

3. Deal with clients’ queries by email, phone, letter and also face to face.

4. Update referrers and other parties involved in the transaction through to completion via the same mediums referred to in 3.

5. Organise, progress and update the task list daily

6. Assist the team in preparing and progressing the file through to exchange and completion.

7. Provide cover to the other members of the Team in their absence.

8. Comply with service standards, GDPR and AML requirements.

5 GCSE’s A* to C including Maths and English

At least one A level
