Salary: £12.71 per hour

We have exciting new opportunities for Full Time Community Ambulance Assistants at Ambulnz Community Partners to support non-emergency transfers of patients.

The main focus of a Community Ambulance Assistant is to deliver non-emergency transport to those in need, for example transporting patients to and from their hospital appointment, whilst providing high quality patient care.

About the company

Ambulnz Community Partners is part of the Ambulnz UK Group. We have over 14 operational bases across England and Wales, and over 800 employees who are providing essential support to the NHS and hospital Trusts. Across our sites we provide patient transport services, secure mental health patient transport, urgent and emergency care.

About you

Whilst previous experience within the role is desirable, we do provide comprehensive training including a recognised first aid at work certificate and so it is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for caring and compassionate individuals who will treat our patients with dignity and respect.

The role involves working as either a single or double crew, and therefore it is a requirement for you to hold a full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 year driving experience and no more than 6 points on your licence. You will be using appropriate manual handling techniques to lift and manoeuvre patients, and therefore need to have a good level of physical fitness.
