Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as a graduate Quality Assurance Technologist. This is an excellent opportunity to join the expanding OHS QA team. Candidates will ideally have a graduate degree or equivalent. You will support day to day quality assurance activities, assist with investigations and help build a strong right first-time culture across the business. In this role you will collaborate with other supply chain teams to align technical specifications, monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on product safety and compliance. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop within a rapidly growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure all products OHS bring to market are safe and fit for purpose.
- Ensure legal compliance standards and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for your product categories, ensuring compliance with the relevant safety and regulatory standards within your category areas.
- Ensure all packaging, labelling, and declarations meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the product development teams to integrate quality standards at the inception stage of new products.
- · Create, review & approve safety instructional materials that align with regulatory requirements.
- Assess and review technical documentation, including compliance certificates, material datasheets, regulatory declarations, and product certification.
- Help to attain consistent inspection and product release processes.
- Liaise with the Customer Care Team to ensure that any non-conformities are identified and rectified at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Address non-conformities by working closely with far eastern suppliers to implement appropriate corrective actions.
- From time to time, you may be requested to undertake other duties within the scope of your role as instructed by the business.
What You’ll Bring:
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Highly organised individual with good attention to detail.
- Interest in manufacturing, quality and process improvement.
- Good IT skills, including Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- A degree (or expected degree) of 2:1 in a relevant subject (preferably engineering or materials science) would be ideal but not essential.
