The Role:
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and member-focused Gym Instructor to join the fitness team at Hale Country Club & Spa.
As a key part of our wellness offering, you will play an inspiring role in supporting members throughout their fitness journey, delivering exceptional service, expert guidance, and a motivating club experience.
- Lead and support members through our structured 4-week member journey, helping them build confidence, consistency, and results
- Motivate, coach, and energise members during gym sessions and fitness activities
- Deliver outstanding member experiences by providing ongoing support, encouragement, and fitness expertise
- Build strong relationships with members and help grow and maintain class attendance to support engagement and retention
- Deliver personalised Club Inductions to groups of up to 4 members, ensuring a welcoming and informative onboarding experience
- Maintain a visible and proactive presence on the gym floor, offering guidance on exercise programmes and safe, effective equipment use
- Oversee daily Gym Floor Operations, including equipment checks, studio preparation, cleanliness standards, maintenance reporting, and health & safety compliance
- Professionally handle member enquiries, concerns, and feedback when required
- Minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (Level 3 Personal Trainer desirable)
- Previous experience as a Gym Instructor and/or Personal Trainer within a health club, gym, or fitness environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Confident in prescribing and delivering tailored exercise programmes to both new and existing members
- Passionate about health, fitness, and delivering exceptional member experiences
- Evidence of continued professional development within the fitness industry
- Organised, adaptable, and flexible with the ability to work a rota-based schedule
