Based from our Ramsgate office, you'll travel to customer sites across London, working alongside experienced Site Fitters to install architectural finishes within lifts and escalators. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a specialist industry, with full support and ongoing training provided.
The Role
Working under the guidance of our Senior Site Fitters and Field Manager, you'll learn how to install bespoke lift interiors, architraves and architectural finishes to the highest standards while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently and professionally.
You'll also represent IMI Ltd on customer sites, so a professional attitude and commitment to excellent workmanship are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of lift interiors, architraves and architectural finishes
- Read and interpret technical drawings to complete installations accurately
- Safely use hand tools and small power tools
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
- Inspect completed installations for quality and functionality
- Work closely with Senior Site Fitters, the Field Manager and customers throughout each project
- Identify and help resolve installation issues on site
- Contribute ideas to improve installation processes and working practices
- Share driving duties to and from London using company vehicles
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a job well and wants to build a long-term career within a specialist installation environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within construction, manufacturing, installation or a similar hands-on environment (preferred but not essential)
- A valid CSCS Card
- A full UK driving licence
- Good practical skills and confidence using hand tools
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A strong commitment to health and safety
