Stock Planner
Location: Folkestone, Kent (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days WFH post-probation)
Bigjigs Toys is a fast paced wooden toy wholesaler supplying a fantastic range of traditional toys into independent toy & gift shops and direct to consumers. Started in 1985 by Peter & Liz Ireland the company has grown from a garden shed outfit into a multinational operation supplying goods to shops in over 40 countries around the world.
The Role - Are you an ambitious supply chain professional ready to take the next step in your career? Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in stock planning, inventory availability, and supplier coordination across our global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead stock forecasting, inventory planning, and purchase order placement.
- Plan deliveries, provide clearance instructions, and liaise with freight forwarders/hauliers.
- Coordinate stock movements and reconciliations between main and external warehouses.
- Liaise with sales and ops teams to align inventory availability with demand shifts.
- The maintenance of product data within the system. Creation of new items, populating weights, dimensions, age and barcode information. Using this data to create product reports for customers and sales managers
- Support warehouse workload and capacity planning.
This is a key role within a hard working team and as such it is important that you will be a strong team player, with a positive and enthusiastic outlook who is flexible to respond quickly to changing needs and priorities.
What You’ll Need
- 1–2 years’ experience in a Purchasing or Supply Chain environment.
- Strong Excel & IT skills with an ability to quickly pick up ERP systems (Sage 200 experience is a bonus!)
- Import & Customs Knowledge: Practical experience with shipping documentation, customs clearance procedures, and commodity (HS) codes.
- An analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience dealing with Asian suppliers is advantageous.
- A proactive team player with clear communication skills.

- Hybrid working - must be within reasonable commuting distance of our Folkestone office, 2 days working from home and 3 days working at the office once probation period/training is successfully completed.
We offer 20 days holiday per year plus an extra day for every 2 years of service given to the company (up to a maximum of 5 extra days). 8 Statutory bank holidays are in addition to these 20 days.
This is a full time Mon-Fri role, 40 hours per week, 8.30am-5pm. Hybrid home and office-based working (3 days office, 2 days home)
Pay: £30,051.84 per year
