Maintenance – Keep Our Home Safe & Well-Maintained!

Location: Diamond House Care Home, Bennett St, Downham Market PE38 9EJ
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Job Type: Part-time (24 hours per week)

Are you a practical and reliable individual with a knack for repairs and maintenance? Diamond House Care Home is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help ensure our home remains a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Your Role:

Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and safety checks throughout the care home.
Assist with painting, decorating, plumbing, and minor electrical work as needed.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are met and recorded properly.
Conduct routine inspections and report any required repairs or hazards.
Work closely with the Home Manager and external contractors when necessary.
Maintain gardens and outdoor areas to keep the surroundings safe and pleasant.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ A hands-on individual with a practical, problem-solving approach.
✅ Previous maintenance or handyman experience is beneficial.
✅ Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, and general repairs is an advantage.
✅ A good understanding of health and safety practices.
✅ Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
