Full job description

We are seeking a further member of our Rosehill Pet & Equine Crematorium team to contribute to the smooth running of the Individual Cremation activities of the Company by data processing of Individual Cremation forms, preparation and attending cremation services, assisting in the packing of pets' ashes, and responsibility of the presentation of bereavement suites.

Responsibilities:

Ash Packing

Check that ashes received from the cremator operator matches the documentation provided, ensuring stock items match this as well.
Packaging ashes with considerable care and attention.
Sealing the caskets/vessels using handheld or small power tools.
Using the engraving machine to produce plaques and using Purgo/Sage to produce labels.
Packaging boxes for distribution via drivers or APC, ensuring correct packaging and labels used.
Collating ashes into correct and complete round for distribution.
Cross-checking documentation continually.
Quality checking other team members’ work.

Cremation Support:

Keep the bereavement suites neat, tidy and in a clean condition.
Liaising with Cremation Team's in Cambridge Head Office for pets on hold and owners wishing to attend.
Preparation of deceased pets for attending’s and performing attending’s as well as greeting customers who come to the crematorium.
Data processing and entry including assistance with a monthly stock count.
Working with all departments to ensure favourable month end positions, including collating reports.

Requirements

Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related field.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Compassionate approach to pets and their owners.
