We are looking for a proactive organised and approachable ward administrator to support the smooth day to day running of our intermediate care rehabilitation ward in Halstead.
This is a varied role combining administrative duties with responsibility for maintaining a safe and well organised ward environment.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the nursing and multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective systems high standards of organisation, and a positive experience for patients and their families.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ward team, including scanning, fling and maintaining accurate patient records on electronic systems.
- Ensure documentation is processed, stored and accessible in line with organisational standards and policies
- Support data collection reporting and information gathering required for audits and service monitoring
- Assist in the co-ordination of ward activities, including meetings, training sessions and reviews
- Monitor order and maintain appropriate levels of clinical and non-clinical stock
- Ensure stock is stored safely and appropriately in line with policies and procedures.
- Support stock rotation
- Report faulty equipment and escalate as per policy
- Assist with any non-clinical tasks that enable clinical staff to focus on patient care
- Provide accurate records and information to support governance processes
- Undertake mandatory training as required
- Maintain an understanding of organisational policies, procedures and protocols relevant to the role
