Salary: Competitive

Location: The role is primarily office based at our offices in Ipswich, although some home working may be considered.

Working hours: 9.00 – 17.30, Monday to Friday

Start date: ASAP

One of our employment partners, Kelly Sayers, is recruiting a senior employment associate to join her growing team – this is a new position. Experience in employment law is obviously essential, and data protection and privacy experience are desirable but not essential. Kelly’s clients include a wide range of commercial clients in a variety of sectors (including transport and logistics, retail, and technology), high-profile charities, and senior employees.

The role would suit an applicant with between 3 and 8 years’ post-qualification experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law at a reputable regional or London firm.

Applicants should have:

experience of drafting documents, carrying out legal research, and advising and liaising directly with clients
the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
strong communication skills and be confident to attend client meetings and business development and networking events, including presenting at client seminars and on webinars, and conducting training sessions for clients
the ability to work as a team player providing support to colleagues

This role would also suit somebody who is happy to work from home, with some time spent working the team’s Ipswich office. There may be occasional travel to the London office once every couple of months.
