We are a specialist provider of outsourced legal cashiering and accounts services, supporting law firms across England and Wales. Our clients trust us to manage their finances accurately, professionally, and in strict compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Legal Cashier to join our friendly and professional team. While previous legal cashiering experience is preferred, it is not essential. What matters most is that you have an exceptional eye for detail, enjoy working with numbers, and take genuine pride in producing accurate work. If you're naturally organised, methodical and committed to getting things right the first time, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Working with a portfolio of law firm clients, you will provide day-to-day legal cashiering support, becoming a trusted extension of their finance team. You will receive training and support while learning our systems and processes, with accuracy and compliance at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing day-to-day legal cashiering tasks for multiple law firm clients.

* Processing client and office account receipts and payments accurately.

* Preparing and processing electronic payments.

* Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.

* Processing client account transfers in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.

* Posting bills, disbursements and supplier invoices.

* Supporting conveyancing completions and other client transactions.

* Liaising with clients to answer queries and provide excellent service.

* Assisting with month-end procedures and audit requirements.

* Identifying discrepancies and ensuring they are resolved promptly.

* Maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.

About You

Attention to detail is the single most important attribute we are looking for.** You understand that even a small mistake can have significant consequences, and you take pride in producing work that is accurate, thorough and reliable.

You'll also have:

* Excellent numerical accuracy and strong analytical skills.

* A methodical and organised approach to your work.

* The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

* A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist legal finance environment.

Preferred but not essential:**

* Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or within a legal accounts or finance role.

* Knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.

* Experience using legal accounts software such as LEAP, Actionstep, Proclaim, ALB, Insight Legal, or similar.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates the accuracy, aptitude and commitment we are looking for.
