Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private General Practitioner (GP) who has a special interest in Women's Health to join our expanding ultrasound and diagnostic service. The ideal candidate will deliver personalised patient care, manage a wide range of medical conditions and promote overall wellness. Based across our Leighton Buzzard and Wrest Park clinics, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly, professional team delivering high-quality, patient-centred private healthcare.

As a Private GP, you will provide consultations for patients presenting with a wide range of medical concerns, working alongside our ultrasound and diagnostic services to deliver an efficient and seamless patient journey.

Hours and clinic sessions are flexible and can be arranged to fit around any existing commitments.

Duties

Conduct private GP consultations in a professional and compassionate manner.
Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
Request and interpret appropriate investigations.
Refer patients for specialist care when required.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records while adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Help shape and grow the women's health service

Skills

Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
Ability to manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
Knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and confidentiality requirements.
Professional, compassionate, and empathetic approach.
Adaptability and flexibility to meet the needs of a growing service.
Sound IT skills and experience using electronic patient record systems.

We're looking for

Full GMC registration on the GP register and inclusion on the NHS Performers List
MRCGP or equivalent, with demonstrable experience and interest in women's health
FSRH Letters of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques ( LoC IUT) and Subdermal Implants ( LoC SDI - essential, as LARC fitting is central to this role
