Your Career
Looking to develop your career in Data Protection and Privacy within a growing technology business?
As our Assistant Data Protection Officer, you'll help protect the personal data entrusted to MHR by customers, colleagues and partners. Working closely with Privacy, Security, Legal and IT teams, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of data protection challenges while developing your expertise in GDPR, data governance and compliance.
Your Team
You'll join a small but influential Data Protection Office, working with stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders, Directors and the Board. This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience, build specialist knowledge and contribute to key privacy initiatives across the organisation.
Your Impact
You'll support the development and maintenance of MHR's privacy and data governance framework, helping ensure compliance with UK and international data protection legislation while enabling the business to innovate responsibly.
Work That Matters - What You'll Be Doing
Support the Data Protection Officer in maintaining MHR's privacy and governance framework.
Coordinate and monitor Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
Maintain compliance documentation, including Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs).
Support the management of data protection incidents and breaches.
Assist with supplier due diligence and third-party risk assessments.
Help manage data subject rights requests.
Deliver privacy guidance, communications and awareness activities.
Support customer, supplier and internal privacy enquiries.
Monitor compliance activities and provide reporting to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, governance or risk.
Good understanding of UK GDPR, EU GDPR and data protection principles.
Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Desirable
CIPP/E, CIPM or ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection.
Experience within a SaaS, technology or regulated environment.
Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
