Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This vital role involves assisting residents or clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being is always prioritized. As a Care Assistant, you will play a key part in creating a warm, respectful environment where everyone feels valued and cared for. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help improve the quality of life for those you support.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to promote dignity and comfort
Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible
Follow personalized care plans to meet each person’s specific needs and preferences
Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and the wider care team to ensure seamless support
Record observations, updates, and any changes in health or behavior accurately using IT systems
Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
Help create a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and compassionately
Good IT skills for recording data and updating electronic care records
Valid driving license is preferred for home care roles involving travel between locations
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided
Fluency in English is required to ensure clear understanding of instructions and effective communication
Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives
