Are you organised, switched-on and confident with technology? Perhaps you already have some experience within construction, property or a project-led environment and are looking for a role where you can develop your career and become an integral part of a busy team.
We’re recruiting for a Construction Administrator to join an established and successful business in Medway.
This is not just a traditional admin role. You’ll work closely with project teams, helping to keep information organised, accurate and moving in the right direction across multiple live projects.
It could be a great next move for an ambitious Administrator, Project Administrator, Construction Administrator, Project Coordinator or junior Document Controller who enjoys variety, responsibility and working with systems.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting several live projects with day-to-day administration and coordination
- Uploading, organising and maintaining project documentation using online systems
- Keeping track of drawings, technical information, requests and project updates
- Making sure information is distributed to the right people accurately and on time
- Liaising with internal project teams, external consultants, suppliers and contractors
- Following up on missing information and outstanding actions
- Updating project trackers and progress reports
- Helping compile project handover and completion documentation
- Supporting with presentations, reports and meeting preparation
- Assisting with incoming enquiries and other project administration when required
- Becoming a key point of support for a busy and fast-moving construction team
What we're looking for
- Some previous administration, coordination or document control experience
- Construction, property, engineering or another project-based environment would be ideal
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Comfortable learning and working with different software and online systems
- Strong attention to detail – you'll be dealing with a high volume of important information
- Naturally organised and able to juggle several priorities at once
- Confident communicating with people at different levels
- Proactive – someone who will chase information, spot what's missing and get things done
- Keen to learn, develop and take on more responsibility as your knowledge grows
Previous experience with construction document management software would be useful but isn't essential if you're tech-savvy and quick to pick up new systems.
Why consider this opportunity?
- £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience and skill set
- Join an established business with a busy pipeline of projects
- Fun, buzzy, sociable office environment
- Varied role where you'll be involved in far more than straightforward administration
- Excellent opportunity to build valuable construction and project experience
- Scope to develop your knowledge and take on increasing responsibility
- Work alongside experienced people who can help you progress
- A role where being proactive, capable and ambitious will genuinely be noticed
If you're organised, confident with technology and looking for a role where you can build a career rather than simply process paperwork, we'd love to hear from you.
