Air Power East Ltd is seeking a proactive Engineering Stores Stock Control & Procurement/Sales Administrator to join our growing team in Stanton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with stock control, stores, procurement, or administration experience who enjoys working across multiple functions and being a key part of a busy Compressed Air Engineering operation.
About the Role
As our Stock Control & Procurement Administrator, you'll play a central role in ensuring our engineers and customers have the parts and equipment they need, when they need them. You'll manage stock levels, coordinate purchasing activities, prepare quotations, support logistics, and help maintain smooth day-to-day operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Manage stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records
Coordinate monthly and day-to-day purchasing of parts and equipment
Prepare quotations and pricing information for internal teams and customers
Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries
Organise and maintain stores, warehouse, and yard areas
Prepare and organise parts for engineering jobs
Coordinate dispatch of sold goods and outgoing shipments
Carry out stock checks, audits, and investigate discrepancies
Assist with hire equipment administration and inventory management
Handle customer enquiries and incoming telephone calls
Support compliance activities including health and safety reporting, PAT testing, and waste management administration
Provide occasional cover for colleagues during holidays and absences
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, procurement, stores administration, or a similar role
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
Desirable Skills
Experience using Sage
Knowledge of mechanical or electromechanical engineering environments
Pay: Up to £29,000.00 per year
