Stakesy's is a small established family business in Barrow-upon-Soar.

We import, manufacture and resell tools and small machinery for use in the metal fabrication industry. Our products are used by car restorers, motorcycle and race car builders, aircraft builders and anyone involved in the general shaping, cutting or forming of metal. We deal direct with the end user and are the market leaders in a small, specialized sector of the metal fabrication tool supply industry.

Job description

We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our team. This varied position is a combination of the following:

33% tool and machine assembly of our own UK made products

33% picking & packing sold items from the website

33% warehouse duties (organizing new inbound shipments)

The role will include working alone for part of the time, so the ability to stay focused and productive independently is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Picking and Packing Orders
Assemble machinery and equipment according to instructions and specifications
Safely lift, move, and repack boxes and components
Assist with general workshop and warehouse operations

Skills & Experience

Self-motivated non smoker / vaper, with excellent time management skills
Comfortable working independently for periods of time
Proven ability to work with tools and mechanical components
Physically capable of lifting and moving boxes and equipment
Welding or engineering experience an advantage
Would particularly suit an ex-mechanic, engineer looking for a more flexible and varied roll
