We are a long-established, friendly and approachable solicitors' practice based in the heart of Ringwood and Mudeford and we're looking for a Legal Cashier who shares our values.
About the Role
As our Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the firm, ensuring our financial processes are accurate, compliant and efficient. You'll work closely with our solicitors and support staff in a collaborative and professional environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Managing client and office account transactions.
- Processing receipts, payments and electronic bank transfers.
- Reconciling client and office bank accounts.
- Preparing and processing completion statements and conveyancing payments.
- Posting financial transactions accurately using the firm's legal accounts software.
- Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Processing supplier invoices and office payments.
- Assisting with billing, credit control and financial reporting.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supporting the partners with financial information as required.
- Liaising with fee earners, clients and third parties regarding financial matters.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a solicitors' practice or previous accounts experience considered
- A sound understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules, training will be given
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A positive, friendly and professional approach.
- Good IT skills and experience using legal accounts software.
- The ability to work independently while also being a valued member of a small team.
- Based in Ringwood with opportunities to work from home.
