£13.45 per hour, 30 hours per week

SJOG is looking for caring, committed and compassionate individual to join the team at Balmaclellan in Catterick Village, where we provide 24-hour support for adults with learning disabilities and, in some cases, dementia. Balmaclellan is more than a care service – it's a home where people are supported to make their own choices, pursue their interests and live fulfilling lives as active members of their community.

As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in enabling people to maintain their independence, achieve personal goals and enjoy meaningful experiences. Whether it's supporting daily living skills, accompanying individuals on outings and holidays, or helping someone pursue a hobby they love, you'll be making a real and lasting impact.

About the Role

At Balmaclellan, we believe every person is unique. We provide personalised, person-centred support tailored to individual needs, wishes and aspirations. Our team works together to ensure that the people we support are empowered to lead the lives they choose and participate fully in their local community.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support
Promoting independence, dignity and choice
Assisting with personal care where required
Supporting individuals with social, leisure and community activities
Contributing to the development and review of support plans
Building positive and meaningful relationships
Working flexibly as part of a 24-hour support service, including sleep-ins
Upholding SJOG's values of Hospitality, Compassion and Respect in everything you do.

We're Looking For People Who:

Share our values and passion for supporting others
Have experience working with vulnerable adults
Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or are willing to work towards achieving it)
Can provide personal care with dignity and respect
Have good communication and teamwork skills
Can follow guidance and work effectively within an established support framework
Are honest, reliable and professional
Respect and celebrate diversity and inclusion
Are flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins
