Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Executive – Heavy Commercial Vehicles to join our team and drive growth across our HCV range (rigids, tractor units, and specialist/bodied trucks). In this role, you will build strong relationships with hauliers, fleet operators, and owner-operators, identify new B2B sales opportunities, and deliver exceptional customer service across long sales cycles and complex specifications. Your product knowledge, energetic approach, and excellent communication skills will help us grow market share in a highly competitive segment while achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing haulage and fleet customers while actively seeking new B2B sales opportunities across the HCV range
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations of Iveco heavy commercial vehicles, covering drivetrain, GVW/GCW, payload, and bodybuilder/conversion options
- Advise customers on vehicle specification, including chassis configuration, bodywork, and finance/leasing or contract hire options, working closely with bodybuilders and internal teams
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure mutually beneficial agreements, including multi-vehicle and fleet renewal deals
- Drive sales activity by proactively reaching out to potential customers via calls, emails, depot visits, and face-to-face meetings
- Understand client operational needs (routes, loads, duty cycles, uptime requirements) and recommend tailored HCV solutions, including finance and aftersales support packages
- Manage a sales pipeline efficiently using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate forecasting, and prompt deal closure across typically longer B2B sales cycles
- Stay current on the HCV market, competitor offerings, regulatory changes (e.g. emissions standards, DVSA requirements), and emerging technologies, including electric and alternative-fuel trucks
- Collaborate with internal teams (workshop, parts, finance, and aftersales) to ensure smooth order processing, vehicle build/delivery, and post-sales support
- Represent Iveco at local trade events, haulage/fleet shows, and customer open days as required
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively, including at fleet and procurement level
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within automotive, HCV, haulage, or a related industry
- Working knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles (rigids, tractor units, bodywork/conversions) is highly desirable
- Full, clean UK driving licence, with the confidence to drive demonstrator vehicles within assigned territories (Category C/C+E licence advantageous but not essential)
- Customer service orientation with a knack for understanding client needs and providing solutions
- Good IT skills for managing CRM systems, emails, and other digital tools
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently across longer, higher-value sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
