Lead our teams installing technical security systems around the world
When you join us as an Installation Team Leader, youll be responsible for leading small teams installing physical and technical security systems, both here in the UK and at overseas locations. Coaching, developing, task managing and encouraging each team to deliver work of the highest quality, whilst providing input so that plans and designs meet our customers needs and comply with the necessary standards. One of your most important tasks will involve the preparation of equipment in the UK for planned installation trips, and ongoing maintenance to ensure this equipment is operational once on site. Well also expect you to produce post-work reporting, maintain technical drawings, develop and implement safe systems of work, and see that all your team members undertake risk assessments and comply with Health & Safety policies.
Your additional responsibilities will include helping to maintain our UK workshops and stores, supporting research and development, and the ongoing maintenance of your professional knowledge and expertise relating to the latest technologies and best practice. Committed to liaising with customers to make sure our work meets their requirements and working with service providers to ensure necessary standards are met, youll also offer support to Technical Officers overseas, flag any issues that arise, and assist the Estimating and Cost Control team in the development of quotes.
Develop your career as you work with us to keep the UK safe and secure
To be a success in this busy and fast-paced role, youll have plenty of experience in the practical application of relevant trade skills, a Level 3 qualification or its equivalent in electronics, telecommunications or IT, a SMSTS Health & Safety qualification and proven knowledge of at least one of the following: CCTV/IDS/PCO/IAPA/ACS/Radio. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to manage and motivate your teams, and you should also be capable of producing and interpreting technical documents and drawings and undertaking site surveys.
Wed prefer you to have some experience of working in a similar role in overseas locations, and an understanding of how to operate in secure environments would be desirable. In addition, knowledge of construction design management requirements would be a plus, as would membership of a relevant professional body.
